AllHours IT

Chicago data centre remote hands

Someone you trust in the cage, without flying out.

AllHours IT sends a badged technician to your Chicago-area data centre to do the work you would otherwise drive in for — reboots, swaps, racking, cross-connects, cabling, decommissions. You get photos and notes back the same day.

What we do

Physical work inside your cage

You tell us what needs doing. We show up, do it, photograph it and write down what we found.

Remote hands

Power cycles, console and crash-cart sessions, reading LEDs and error codes, pressing the button you cannot press from your desk.

RebootsCrash cartStatus checks

Rack and stack

Unbox, rail kits, mount, dual-feed power, label, patch and hand back a photo of the finished rack with the port map.

Networking

Cross-connect tails to the meet-me room, switch and router installs, optics and patching, copper and fibre testing, and finding the layer-one fault your monitoring cannot see.

Hardware swaps

Drives, PSUs, memory, NICs, optics. We handle the vendor RMA too: unbox the replacement, pack the failed part, ship it back, send you the tracking.

Decommission

De-rack, disconnect, pack and remove. Drive destruction through a certified vendor when you need the certificate for an audit.

Audits and eyes-on

Asset inventory, serial capture, port mapping, photos of every rack face. Useful before a migration, an audit, or a handover between teams.

How a ticket runs

Three steps, and you are never guessing

Step 1

You send the work

Email or call with what needs doing, the facility, the cage and when. We confirm whether we can make your window before you commit to anything.

Step 2

You authorise access

You add our technician to your access list with the facility. Nothing happens without your authorisation — we never hold standing access to your cage.

Step 3

We report back

Photos before and after, serials captured, what we found, what we changed. Same day. If something looked wrong, you hear about it that hour, not next week.

Why us

What you get from a small local shop

01

The same technician

Your facility's own remote hands desk sends whoever is on shift. We send the person who has been in your cage before and remembers how it is laid out.

02

You hear back in writing

Every visit ends with photos and notes. No "completed" ticket with nothing attached.

03

No contract to start

Use us for one visit and never again. If it becomes regular, we will set up a monthly block and drop the rate.

04

We say no when it is not our job

Some work needs a licensed electrician or the facility's own staff. We will tell you that instead of taking the booking and improvising in your cage.

Tell us what needs doing.

Facility, cage, the task and your window. We will come back with a price and a time, usually same day.
